Colorado Skiing Tips - First: Get a grooming report from guest services.
For intermediate skiiers - The Avanti Express lift goes the best intermediate trails and to Game Creek Bowl. For a greater variety of trails, head to the Mountaintop Express (Chair 4). For some of the best mogul skiing, go to the Highline lift (Chair 10) from the base of the Northwoods lift. Then shoot down Highline, Blue Ox or Roger's Run. Advanced Skiiers: Get to Blue Sky Basin (one of the places in the world you HAVE to ski, if you are experienced). Start at the Eagle-Bahn Gondola in Lionshead. From top of gondola, ski to Game Creek Bowl (Chair 7). Then to the Wildwood Express lift (Chair 3). Folllow signs from the top of the Wildwood chair, to Sun Down and China Bowls. Don't go to the back bowls but follow the signs to Blue Sky Basin. You can not get food in Blue Sky, so pack a lunch. There are picnic tables.
